Health and Safety Training

We understand that Safety Training does not have a great reputation for being entertaining...even if it is informative. But, we find that by making our classes just a bit more exciting that the information gets through to the audience better, makes the day go more quickly, and encourages our class participants to take the lessons they learn back to work with them to use on a daily basis.

Additional training courses not listed here may also be offered. Drop us a line if you do not see something you need and we will be more than happy to either provide the training or help you find someone else who does. (Note: Some courses may not be offered in all areas, but we can usually help you with most of your training needs.)

HAZWOPER (29CFR 1910.120)

The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) applies to employees who work on hazardous waste clean-up sites, workers at waste treatment-storage-disposal facilities, and employees tasked with responding to chemical releases in the workplace.

  • 40-Hour HAZWOP training is designed for hazardous waste site workers who have a high probability of coming in contact with wastes on a routine basis.
  • 24-Hour HAZWOP training is simply the first twenty-four hours of the 40-Hour and is designed for waste site workers who have a low probability of contacting waste on site due to their normal proximity to the waste cleanup operations and/or their limited time spent on site.
  • 24-Hour Emergency Response (ER) training is required for employees whose job duties include active participation on emergency response to hazardous chemical releases in the workplace.
  • 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher meets the annual update training required by the HAZWOPER standard for each of the above courses. We understand that many course participants have taken this class many times before. So, expect some friendly competition as participants are challenged with games of safety knowledge.
